Niceland: (11) Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon

In my opinion, Jökulsárlón is the most amazing place in Iceland. An outstanding landscape! It´s a glacier lagoon full of floating icebergs that were once forming part of the glacier Breiðamerkurjökull, part of the enormous Vatnajökull. The lagoon is 17Km long and 600m deep and it´s open to the ocean by an small exit. It´s been the location of several films like Tomb Rider and James Bond´s “Die another day”, when it was completely frozen as they closed the entrance of salted water from the ocean.
