Niceland: (9) Moss fields… forever

Driving the ring road east from VíK and near Kirkjubaerjarklaustur you can find vast extensions of lava fields from the Laki volcano eruption of 1783 completely covered with green moss. Don´t know how thick the moss is, but it´s very spongy !
