Niceland: (1) Reykjavik

Iceland is a volcanic island halfway between Europe and America that has lots of spectacular natural landscapes with, occasionally, human constructions. Population is about 320.000 inhabitants, one third of them live in Reykjavik, the main city. Reykjavik, that in icelandic means “Steaming Bay or Bay of Smoke”, is a very “cool” city with lots of low and colourful houses made of wood or metal panels. The downtown quarter known as “101” has many bars, restaurants and fashion shops.
